Subject:      Request for inclusion of the Iranian secular democratic oppositional forces in the Warsaw Global Conference on Middle East - February 13th and 14th 2019

 
The Honorable Mr. Pompeo and The Honorable Mr. Czaputowicz,
 
We, the undersigned Iranian secular democratic organisations representing a large sector of the Iranian groups opposing the illegitimate and jihadist government of the Islamic Republic in Iran (“IRI”), are hereby requesting the formal inclusion of the voices of the Iranian people, or their symbolic representatives from the under-mentioned organisations, among others, in the upcoming Warsaw Conference.
 
As the stated goal of this jointly hosted global conference is to further the stability and security in the Middle East and to counter IRI’s “destabilising influence” and deleterious role in the regional and global affairs, we would like to emphasise that undeniably, the overwhelming majority of the Iranian people are unreservedly opposed to the destructive role played by IRI during the past four decades, not only in the Middle East, but around the World as well as internally. The adventurous behaviour of this renegade Regime has exacted a very heavy toll on the Iranian people in every aspect. Hence, the Iranian people must be considered as a major stakeholder in the international discussions concerning Iran.
 
Whereas the Iranian people, both inside Iran or in exile, are the greatest sufferers of IRI’s tyrannical rule, we firmly believe that their voices, through their token representatives, need to be loudly heard rather than not to be consulted or worse, excluded from the Warsaw Conference.

The Honorable Secretary of State, Michael R. Pompeo, in his video address to the World Economic Forum 2019 at Davos on 22nd of January stated: “We have assembled a global coalition of nations to confront Iran and support the aspirations of the Iranian people.” Accordingly, in order to support the “aspirations” of the Iranian people, we strongly feel that they ought to be formally consulted and included in the process. Frequently US and its allies, as well as other powers and international organisations, do include the unreconciling opponents of a regime in the international conferences concerning that country, be it Syria, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Venezuela, or any other troubled country. Therefore, in our opinion, it would be implausible and wholly inappropriate not to invite representatives from the organisations listed below, as well as from other Iranian democratic and secular oppositional groups and political figures who are committed to peaceful and non-violent means to change the political destiny of Iran
 
As a leopard can't change its spots, IRI’s autocratic ruling “kleptocracy” cannot change its inborn harmful nature. Therefore, we believe in a peaceful change of the regime, and not "change in regime’s behaviour". Civil and peaceful change of the regime is primarily the prerogative of the Iranian people, with the support of the international community. As proven in the past, by its very aggressive nature, the war-mongering and religiously fanatic regime in Iran welcomes war and violence as a “divine gift”. Hence, we regard war as solely beneficial to the survival of the regime, and wholly deleterious to the interest of the Iranian people. Therefore, the undersigned believe that the best viable path forward, is for the international community to support the Iranian people’s civil movement in their non-violent struggle for the removal of the Islamic Regime in Iran.
 
We hereby cordially call upon the honourable hosts to urgently consider the invitation and inclusion of Iranian democratic and secular opposition groups, as a token representation of the Iranian people, to be an integral and imperative part of this conference. After all, it is the fate of an ancient country that is being debated upon; thus, without the participation and inclusion of its people this conference may not be deemed to be meaningful and supportive of their aspirations.
 
We eagerly look forward to hearing from you at the earliest, with the anticipation to be part of the Warsaw Conference.

عاليجناب، وزير خارجه ايالات متحده امريکا و عاليجناب، وزير خارجه جمهوری لهستان

موضوع: درخواست دعوت از نيروهای سکولار دموکراتيک اپوزيسيون ايران

برای شرکت در کنفرانس بين المللی ورشو در مورد خاورميانه - 13 و 14 ماه فوريه 2019

عاليجنابان،

          امضاء کنندگان اين نامه از جانب سازمان های سکولار دموکرات ايرانی، که بخش عمده ای از گروه های مخالف حکومت غيرقانونی و جهادی موسوم به جمهوری اسلامی ايران را تشکيل می دهند، خواستار آنند که واگويندگان صدای مردم ايران، و از جمله نمايندگان سازمان های امضاء کنندهء اين نامه، در کنفرانس پيش روی ورشو شرکت داشته باشند.

          از آنجا که هدف اعلام شدهء اين کنفرانس برقراری ثبات و امنيت در خاور ميانه و نيز مقابله با «تأثير برهم زنندهء ثبات» و آشوب آفرينی حکومت اسلامی ايران در منطقه و جهان است، ما علاقمنديم تا بر اين نکته تأکيد کنيم که بی شک اکثريت مردم ايران در طی چهار دهه اخير بی هيج ملاحظه ای با نقش مخرب اين حکومت نه تنها در خاور ميانه که در سراسر جهان و در داخل کشورشان مخالف اند. رفتار ماجراجويانهء اين حکومت ياغی از هر جهت موجب خسارات فراوانی برای مردم ايران بوده است. لذا ضروری است که در رايزنی های بين المللی پيرامون ايران، مردم اين کشور شريک عمدهء بحث شناخته شوند.

          همچنين، از آنجا که مردم ايران، چه در داخل کشور و چه در تبعيد، متحمل بيشترين مصائب وارده از جانب اين حکومت ستمگر بوده اند، ما اعتقاد راسخ داريم که صدای آنان، از طريق نمايندگان نمادين شان، بايد با قدرت هرچه تمام تر  در کنفرانس ورشو شنيده شود و نه اينکه مورد بی اعتنائی قرار گرفته و، يا بدتر از آن، از شرکت در کنفرانس ورشو حذف گردد.

          عاليجناب، وزير خارجه ايالات متحدهء امريکا، در تاريخ 22 ژانويه، در پيام ويدئوئی خود خطاب به «گردهمائی اقتصادی جهانی» (داوس 2019) اظهار داشته اند که: «ما ائتلافی از ملل جهان را برای مقابله با ايران و نيز حمايت از آرمان های ملت ايران، فراهم ساخته ايم». ما قوياً حس می کنيم که لازم است که آنها رسماً مورد مشورت قرار گرفته و در اين روند حضور داشته باشند. اغلب اوقات ایالات متحده و متحدان اش، و نيز دیگر نیروها و سازمان های بین المللی، مخالفان آشتی ناپذير يک رژيم، (مثلاً سوريه، افغانستان، ليبی، یمن و ونزوئلا) را در کنفرانس های بين المللی مربوط به آن کشور شرکت می دهند. لذا، به نظر ما، عدم دعوت از نمایندگان سازمان هائی که نام شان در زیر این نامه آمده است و نيز ساير گروه های سکولار دموکرات و مخالفی که در مبارزات خود برای تأمين آيندهء سياسی ايران به استفاده از وسائل صلح آميز و بی خشونت باورمند هستند امری کاملاً نادرست و نامناسب است.

          همانگونه که يک پلنگ قادر نيست خال پوست اش را عوض کند، حاکمان مذهبی حکومت اسلامی استبدادی ايران نيز قادر به تغيير سرشت زيانبار خود نيستند. بر اين اساس، ما به «تغيير صلح آميز اين رژيم» و نه «تغيير رفتار آن» باور داريم. در واقع، تغییر مدنی و صلح آميز اين رژيم، با کمک جامعهء بين المللی، حق ويژه مردم ايران است. همانگونه که در گذشته نيز ثابت شده، اين رژيم متعصب و جنگ طلب مذهبی، جنگ و خشونت را «نعمت اللهی» تلقی می کند. به همین دلیل، ما جنگ را تنها به نفع استمرار عمر این حکومت و عليه منافع مردم ایران می دانيم. امضاء کنندگان اين نامه بر اين باورند که بهترين راهکار برای جامعهء جهانی حمايت از جنبش مدنی مردم ايران و مبارزه بدون خشونت آنان در راستای منحل ساختن رژيم اسلامی ايران است.

          ما، بدينوسيله و با احترام، از شما عاليجنابان، ميزبانان کنفرانس، می خواهيم تا هرچه زودتر از گروه های سکولار دموکرات مخالف حکومت اسلامی دعوت بعمل آورده و آنها را جزئی لازم و جدائی ناپذير از اين کنفرانس بدانند. بهر حال، اين سرنوشت کشوری کهنسال است که مورد بحث قرار می گيرد و لذا بدون عضويت و شراکت مردم آن ممکن است اين کنفرانس تجلی حمايت معناداری از آرمان های آنان نباشد.

          ما مشتاقانه، و با انتظار اينکه جزئی از اين کنفرانس تلقی شويم، منتظر دريافت پاسخ شما هستيم.
